A search to find a way to relax and destress from the demands of a teaching career, combined with a passion for vintage fashion led to owner, Hayley, visiting a vintage clothes fair in 2014. Her keen interest in the unmatched style of swing dresses from the 1950’s to 1960’s developed into trading at vintage fairs with just a tiny, fold-up table and a single rail of frocks. With her popularity and reputation for selling quality vintage inspired clothing growing, Hayley soon expanded into larger vintage festivals.
Just four years on from that initial interest, in March 2018, Hayley opened Frocks in Swing Time, her new shop in Fore Street. She has now been joined by her Sister and Stepmother, creating a unique family-run business offering a wide range of vintage style clothing & accessories in sizes 6-26 for ladies and children’s clothing from new-born to age 12.
