Sitting at the head of its own private valley, Eastacott Barton’s two barn conversions (Stable and Harebell) offer spacious self catering holiday accommodation, privacy and a real opportunity to relax. Surrounded by rich Devon farmland full of sheep and cattle, and overlooking the Taw valley, there are 27 acres of meadow and woodland walks, and numerous lakes, including 2 fishing lakes, which are solely for the use of guests.
Within easy reach of the coast, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor it’s the perfect base to explore the delights of North Devon. With fantastic surfing beaches, walks along coastal paths or across the moors, fishing in the lake or the local salmon rivers, cycling on the Tarka Trail, excellent golf courses, and great local pubs all close at hand, there are plenty of activities for everyone.

Now one of Britain’s leading honey farms Quince Honey Farm is family run and first established in 1949 by George Wallace with 2 hives of bees, an inexorable work ethic and a wild dream. A fiery Scotsman, George served in the paratroop regiment during WW2 and after the war served in Palestine until 1949. Near the end of his service George read a book about beekeeping and became obsessed with the craft. He was one of only a few men in the entire British Army to be demobbed into beekeeping. He gained practical beekeeping experience at Yorkshire apiaries where he was told he worked too hard. George moved South to North Devon to live with his father in Quince Cottage. George had two hives of bees and ambitiously called his operation Quince Honey Farm.

Small working farm near Combe Martin, North Devon.
Farm free range rare breed pigs and sheep - all meat is processed by us and sold at local food markets and food festivals within Devon and Exmoor - specialise in high quality pork and lamb sausages in various different flavours.
We will be at Barnstaple pannier market every Friday and South Molton every Thursday and Saturday.
