Tarka Trail Camping is a quiet, family owned and run campsite nestled right beside the beautiful Tarka Trail on the River Taw Estuary, perfect for walking and cycling with miles of stunning country and estuary views.
Our large, level, grassed camping field with water, toilets and showers available will be open and ready for campers from 11 April 2022. Well behaved dogs are welcome to share happy holidays with you and must be kept on a lead at all times.
Located between the famous surfing beaches of Croyde, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! we are a perfect Base Camp for Surfers, Adventurers, Sun Worshippers & Families of all ages.

In summer 2020, local residents started to discuss the idea of trying to open this store again. After much effort and many zoom meetings, Sylvania Community Stores Ltd was established in March 2021 as a FCA-registered community benefit society owned by its shareholder members and run by a small management committee assisted by other volunteers. The stores opened on 24 July 2021 and provides an exciting new community stores and cafe that will benefit all the local community. A post office service is now also available in the stores from 2:15-4:15pm every Thursday. If there is sufficient demand for this then more opening hours will become possible so please consider using it.

Raleigh Barn and Raleigh Cottage are Grade II Listed barns made of stone and cob in the grounds of a Listed farmhouse, all of which dates back to the 16th Century. Raleigh Lodge is currently under construction in our secluded back field. We are in the heart of rural North Devon surrounded by peaceful farmland and hedgerows full of flowers. Those who love the great outdoors will love this area, ideal for water sports, walking, cycling, and more.
Raleigh Barn is furnished to an extremely high standard, with both bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms and a kitchen that includes a dishwasher, washing machine and freezer. Raleigh Cottage is not currently available to rent. Both barns are set in five acres of land with beautiful views over Ruby Country. The area around Sage Doors Cottages is ideal for helping you unwind and relax but there is also a wide variety of activities/attractions nearby.
