Welcome to the home of the South West Coast Path Association.
We are the charity looking after the UK’s longest and best-loved National Trail. We believe everyone should have access to the South West Coast Path as a place to connect to nature, relax, exercise, and take time away from the stresses of daily life. With the help of our members, fundraisers, volunteers, and partners, we’re protecting and improving the Trail for the benefit of society now and in the future. We hope you enjoy the Path and consider supporting our cause.

Did you know that Totnes is a Fairtrade Town and has been so since 2011? The town is home to a range of small independent retailers selling ethical products, whole foods and, most importantly, fair trade goods.
The start of Totnes’ journey to become a recognised Fairtrade Town began September 2006 when a small steering group was established and they began with asking Totnes Town Council to use Fairtrade tea and coffee and to ascertain which shops sold Fairtrade products. In less than a month it was established that 5 independent businesses and two high street brands in Totnes were selling Fairtrade products. This number was to grow.
Currently, there are 32 independent retailers in Totnes selling fair trade foods and homewares. (As of 2018)

As part of Safer Devon, South Devon and Dartmoor Community Safety Partnership (CSP) works closely with agencies spread throughout South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon.
We aim to make our communities even safer places to live, work and enjoy by reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. We focus on reducing vulnerability through raising awareness and building confidence in our communities around key community safety issues.
South Devon and Dartmoor CSP meets on a regular basis to set agreed priorities for the partnership, which is done by reviewing intelligence about our area from sources such as the Devon Strategic Assessment.

We are a vegetarian college and we continually strive to be as self-sufficient as possible. At present we grow almost 50% of the food we eat, the rest we source as locally as possible. All students and staff are involved with cooking, cleaning and gardening which helps to foster a sense of community and is a great opportunity to mix with all members of the College.

Based in South Devon, YCE is a non-profit social enterprise, run by local people, doing things differently. We are offering the opportunity to invest in locally-generated clean electricity with profits going into a community fund to support environmental and social projects in the parishes bordering the Yealm estuary: Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, Holbeton, Yealmpton, Brixton and Wembury.
Households in the Yealm area pay around £7 million per year to outside energy suppliers, representing about 5% of earned income. This money leaves the local economy and benefits large commercial companies. Taking ownership of local clean energy generation will retain the profits within the community and promote our long term sustainability.
