Torbay Befriending Service CIC has been established in order to provide a high quality service that puts people at the centre of managing their own wellbeing.
We offer a bespoke service with a strong focus on social inclusion. The service will be tailored to individual need, aiming to decrease isolation and increase opportunities for participation in social activities. We aim to improve people's sense of independence, self-confidence and self-sufficiency.
We will also be establishing a group befriending service within a local community setting whereby people can share their experiences and life skills and be supported to develop and maintain strategies and coping mechanisms for dealing with the challenges in life.

We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation run by and for orchard, apple and cider enthusiasts in south Devon. Membership is open to all.
Orchard Link offers its members technical advice, a programme of events, courses and activities, and makes key items of equipment – mills, presses and pasteurisers – available for hire. In season we also provide a space where apple growers can offer or sell surplus apples: Harvestline.
We aim to promote:
- The restoration and planting of orchards.
- The conservation of traditional local fruit varieties.
- The productive use of fruit crops for eating, juicing, cider making and cooking.
- The exchange of knowledge, skills and expertise.
- Community involvement in orchard management, heritage and traditions.

Welcome to the Mid Devon Cycling Club, one of the South West UK’s largest and most active cycling clubs.
Formed in 1930, the club has a rich history and a reputation for producing some of the country’s leading riders including Tour de France riders Colin Lewis and Jeremy Hunt, Yanto Barker and Jonathan Tiernan-Locke.
However the Mid Devon isn’t just about elite competition and the club holds regular club and training rides (at 8 different ability levels), social events and trips to cycling events and sportives. We are a British Cycling registered Go Ride Club and our Club Mark accreditation acknowledges the standards we have met to ensure all our activities are ‘fully inclusive’.

The South Devon Group of the Ramblers is a very friendly collection of individuals who welcome other walkers to join us on any of our walks. We walk every Thursday for 6-8 miles, and every Sunday for 9-12 miles, as well as the first Tuesday of every month for an easy 3 miles plus a pub lunch. A recent addition to our walks programme are the tea shop walks of 5-6 miles. These walks end with an optional tea/lunch at a tea shop. Our walks include Dartmoor, the South Coast Path, and woodland and estuary walks.

The Bioregional Learning Centre (BLC) works in South Devon in an area bounded not by political boundaries but by water. To the west the River Tamar that divides Devon from Cornwall. To the east the River Teign, to the south the sea and to the north the headwaters of our five main rivers that rise on Dartmoor and flow south. This geographical area is 40-50 miles in any direction and can be crossed in a car in roughly two hours. It contains some of the greatest human deprivation in England as well as some of the most beautiful countryside.
BLC has been set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to be a backbone organisation serving the sustainable and resilient future of this area. Our work lies in bringing statutory bodies, NGOs, individuals and communities together to address whole-systems change towards a flourishing bioregion. That means finding practical ways to work collaboratively towards long-term economic and ecological resilience.
ECOLOGY Engaging and empowering citizens to care for their environment and to work at whole-systems level.
ARTS Giving local people a greater sense of belonging and opening up the question of what it means to be a citizen of this place.
ECONOMY Promoting sustainable, low-carbon enterprise in this region as part of a long-term resilience strategy
LEARNING Creating a learning region that offers direct & enjoyable experiences of ‘real-world problem-solving’ to people of all ages

Welcome to the home of the South West Coast Path Association.
We are the charity looking after the UK’s longest and best-loved National Trail. We believe everyone should have access to the South West Coast Path as a place to connect to nature, relax, exercise, and take time away from the stresses of daily life. With the help of our members, fundraisers, volunteers, and partners, we’re protecting and improving the Trail for the benefit of society now and in the future. We hope you enjoy the Path and consider supporting our cause.
