Langage Farm has remained a working farmstead for over 900 years in the rolling Devonshire countryside. In 1980 the Harvey family started to produce our world-famous clotted cream from us Jersey and Guernsey cows for a nearby shop. From that moment, our name has been synonymous with delicious Devon products…a little Heaven from Devon – udderly delicious.
We moo-ved from the original farm in Langage, Plympton to pastures news just across the fields to our moo farm in Smithaleigh in 2003.
Today, the company employs around 50 people and I am part of a herd of over 250 special Jersey and Guernsey cows. Together we produce the most wonderful cream, ice creams, yoghurts, spreads, dips, cream cheese…..too many to list. Why don’t moo take a trot around our website to find out more.
You can buy our products in our Ridgeway Shop, Plympton, Plymouth as well as from a whole host of shops, cafes and restaurants – graze our Stockists page for more details.

Langage Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility is comfortably nestled in the beautiful Devon country side just outside Plymouth City. It is part of an award winning Closed Loop System consisting of Langage AD, Langage Farm and Langage Dairy Products.
Our history starts in 1952 when the Harvey family bought the farm; we then added the dairy in 1980 and completed the Closed Loop System with the AD plant in 2010. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and have been fortunate enough to pick up many sustainability and business awards.
The farm grows lush grass using bio-fertiliser (digestate) from the AD plant to feed its stunning jersey herd, it then produces the rich jersey milk which is turned into many award winning dairy products such as clotted cream, ice-cream and yoghurt. Wastes from both the product outlets and the Dairy Produce Factory are brought back to the AD plant to produce the electrical power, heat and fertilisers which are required to run our Closed Loop System. In doing this we close the loop on our food production and reduce power consumption, making Langage truly green and carbon neutral.
