Country Cottage Bakery was founded in the mid 70's in the heart of the historic market town of Bideford, and has been owned and run by us since 1990.
It was a very traditional setup with the bakery nestled behind the shop and on view to our customers. We started with seven employees, now we employ a fourty-one strong workforce (one of which was in my original seven). We now have three shops, a Market outlet and run a fleet of five wholesale delivery vans servicing over one hundred Hotels, Restaurants and Shops throughout North Devon.
Our business philosophy is simple, Good Quality, Good Service, Reliability and a Fair Price. I also believe that you simply can't do everything yourself, which is why a lot of emphasis is placed on staff training.
