Teignmouth Recycled Art in Landscape (TRAIL) 2020 - 22nd July 2020
Teignmouth seafront is alive with art this weekend as the 16th annual sculpture trail goes up in the glorious sunshine.
Despite CV19, the TRAIL organisers have inspired environmental artists from around the South West to create artworks from recycled materials. Local businesses have rallied to help fund the event which attracts thousands of visitors over the summer.
Over 30 artists responded to TRAIL’s simple design brief, to create a sculpture from at least 70% recycled materials with an environmental message – the finished artworks are stunning.

Within the parish of Moretonhampstead, Devon, is where we rescue miniature ponies and train suitable ones to work with children and adults.
The ponies must ultimately possess a calm and gentle nature, which is fundamental for therapy animals. Once trained the ponies are able to carry out their work in a number of settings, often with children in hospitals , schools and hospices. Research suggests that during visits patients pain and blood pressure are reduced, as well as fear and stress.

Totally Locally is a grassroots national campaign with the mission to ‘Live Totally Shop Locally’. In these challenging times for retailers, it has never been more important to support the businesses in Chudleigh. By showcasing the wonderful variety of local shops and their products, Totally Locally aims to encourage people to think differently about how they shop and show that little changes can mean a lot. Research has shown that if every adult in the UK spent just £5 a week in their local independent shops instead of online or with multi-national companies, an eye watering £13.5 billion a year would go back into our towns. In Chudleigh the boost to the local economy would be an extra £877,500 per year!
